    Hello all
My question is…what is this coin and what’s its value? The weight is 26.6 grams

Fat man dollar - weight is correct, but these are often counterfeited.

My question for you is where are you getting thes Chinese coins? If you are buying them rather than being passed down in the family you may be making a big mi$take.

    Hi there
These coins were left to me by my grandfather he sadly passed away at 100 years old.

If you don't know what it is, then how do you know it's rare? ;)

I've got one, so they can't be rare!

I have one as well but mine is lost and it's also fake, I bought mine knowing it was fake for a couple of dollars! :D On mine you can tell right off that it's fake by the fat man's collar but on yours with the black shizzle on it I can't tell. :cigar: Yours may be fake but made of real silver, if you're near a coin shop or jewelry store go in and have it tested! good luck! thumbsup.gif

I assume mine is authentic. Got it from Lauren Benson of Davenport, Iowa about half a century ago!

The guys are teasing yo. If your grandfather was not actively buying coins and he had this one in is collection before 1980, it is probably guine. The black marking are a good sign. Don't clean them off or do anything to the coins he left you. The large scratch is going to lower its value a lot. Look on Ebay to see what they are selling for in VF/XF grade.
