    00birdy,

Exactly what sort of information are you trying to find out about this coin? If you're wondering if these came from the mint this way; they didn't. These are similar to the painted ASE's, colorized state quarters, or gold plated coinage; they've all been ruined post mint...at least IMO.

It's only covers Liberty and nothing else (toning isn't like that). This was done post-mint.

So basically some other maker did this themselves and resold it ? Is this about what they normally sell for? I looked up the sale date on may 10 and silver was $37 about same as it was today, so $16 over spot. Is this common or rare or neither? Anyone here have one for sale?

It's very common and we sell the painted and hologrammed ones at just a few percent over spot. The non impaired ones sell for more.

Look at the picture showing the Certificate of Authenticity.Last sentence says "This Brilliant Uncirculated silver dollar has been enhanced with a hologram"
This is post mint. I don't think the Morgan Mint is the U.S. Mint.......do I need any verification?

(did I look at the right listing)

Yeah you are correct there, I can't see the governemnt making some bling-bling like this, but I think they are cool anyway. Normally I'm a not a fan of 'tasteless' but I like it.

I kinda like them as well and would probably like to have one just for a curiosity.

Yeah, I see them as just a novelty item. Not for everybody, but they wouldn't make them if people didn't buy them. They are definitely different.

The Morgan Mint is a company in Hicksville NY that takes coins and makes novelty items out of them. In this case they have taken an ASE and put a clear sticker diffraction grating over the central devices.
