    GrArt O 001.jpg GrArte R 001.jpg I can't make sure whether the obverse of this Greek coin represents Apollo or Artemis. They were both twins of Zeus. The reverse also shows a warrior. I can read Antioxoy. Please post your views.

    i'm pretty sure it's apollo 7C, apollo and antioch kind of had a "thing"....and he's very commonly shown on selecuid coins from the area.

    True, Apollo is featured on many Seleukid coins and I bet this coin is described in catalogs as featuring Apollo. But it sure looks like Artemis and I think it is.

    Here is another Seleukid bronze featuring Artemis. Notice in particular the bun at the back of the head. For me that's the best indication.
