Hey guys was just trying to get some advice. Are the coins this auction considered a natural toned coin (like left in an album) or are they doctored by some means (chemicals, fire, etc). Thanks is advance for your thoughts. http://cgi.ebay.com/4-1964-Jefferso...mQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item439d2aa3a3
please define natural? Chemicals are in nature, so they are natural. heat is in nature, it is natural. just being silly. ugh........ unnatural reaction. nope, AT
The key is the colors. When torched coins only produce a few colors. Purple, orange, blue, and red are most commonly the only colors seen on torch jobs. You don't get the greens seem on naturally toned coins.
No natural sucession of cloring. Indicating its artificial. plus colors are very birght they stick out of the coin. if its natural theyre part of the coin ususally subtle as well. Not saying they cant be bright natural colors, just that theyre typically subtle.
I'll probably be sent to the stocks for this, but... AT/NT--I just don't really care. If I see one I like at a reasonable price(for me), I will buy it. I mean unless it looks like its been painted on, I really don't give a hoot about AT or NT. Hope I didn't step on too many toes! Just my opinion.
