Are these error coins

    I found these coin roll hunting
    They look like they are die chips
    Because the Denver mint mark is filled in anyone know what it is

    Also, try to take the picture from straight on. Not at an angle.

    This is a common occurrence for many dies. The center of a letter or number is formed by a metal post on the die. Quite often, that post breaks off after striking a multitude of coins. When this occurs, metal flows into the void and you get what old-timers sometimes call a "plugged" die.

    They both look like either die chips or wear to me.

    I guess technically it's an error. But not really worth writing home about.
