Minor misaligned dies (MAD) Not off center. Due to die set up variations. No added value

Keep looking you'll get there. I was behind a guy that couldn't get a quarter to work in a coke machine. I kindly swapped him a quarter and he walked away with his sodapop happy. I looked at the quarter and it was not seated properly when stamped. You never know when a good coin will pop up. 1979 Quarter copper core2.jpg 1979 Quarter copper core2.jpg 1979 copper core 4.jpg

I have a few pennies that will never feed through the banks coin sorter/counter. Maybe I need to look at these more closely. I know one seems to have high rims.

No, they are not off center. A good eye though, keep searching.

They are not off center strikes but they are MAD or misaligned die strikes. On the common side. An off center strike looks like this:

This is also an off center coin but more extreme:

It’s better to have a date and the more off centered it is, the better, especially with a date.
