Yesterday robinjojo posted a thread with ancient coins he recently acquired & one coin jumped out at me, a handsome Tet of Septimius Severus from Laodicea ad Mare, Syria. I posted a coin of the same type from my collection that I've had a long time that appears to be struck from the same dies ! I was hoping to get some feedback from CT members if this was the case or just an illusion on my part . My post was near the end of the thread & I believe it was missed by most CT members . Please look at the 2 coins & give me your opinions . robinjojo Tet, 15.42 gm. Septimius Severus, AD 293-211 (struck 207/208), AR Tetradrachm: 28 mm, 12.21 gm.
