I found this bicentennial that looks just like my silver quarters-I looked it up and couldn't find anything about there being any silver ones. It looks & sounds Just like my other silver quarters...any thoughts? Thanks!!

I believe that the quarters from the bicentennial three coin silver proof and mint sets were 40%silver. Does it have an S (San Francisco
    ) mint mark?

1976s non-proof quarters, as well as some proofs, are 40% silver. was it in a 3-coin set with a half and ike?

Good chance it's 40% then. Cool find!

Found it in pocket change & just thought it was odd because I find silver quarters often but have never found a bicentennial that was like this one

Interesting find! I didn't know that they made some silver Bicentennials. I'll add that to my wishlist of things to find.

Many of these 40% silver sets were broken up, and the coins placed in circulation. I've picked up half a dozen circulated '76-s quarters in the past few years.
