Are there any albums that tone coins nicely?

I have quite a few Uncirculated coins that I would like to leave in an album for a few years as they won't be leaving my collection. So my question is, are there any albums that tone coins nicely?
    Thanks in advance :)

    I don't think so.

Would that be natural toning? Dansco albums do tone Silver coins, and even the clad ones over a period of time.

Yes, I believe it's considered natural toning. Approximately how long does it take for silver coins to tone in a Dansco?

Depends upon environmental conditions--honest answer: I don't know. The more humidity, the more toning is accelerated.

there is no guaranty that they will tone nicely.

This is quite true. Sometimes they will have ugly toning, and sometimes no toning at all--totally up to storage conditions. However, Dansco albums do tend to accentuate toning, in my experience.

The old Wayte Raymond coin boards were "famous" for toning coins. You can find them on ebay sometimes with the coins still in them. I guess the cardboard they used had some sulfer in it which created rainbow colors.

    Savy -

As mentioned several times, there is more to it than just the album itself. And the make of the album is not even all that important because all paper products, excepting archival materials, have sulphur in them because that's how paper is made.

Your geographic location, the size of your town/city, what kind of businesses, factories, and manufacturing plants your town/city has in it or nearby, the type of heating system in your home, cooling system - or if you have one or not, the type of kitchen range you have, even what you cook for dinner, your carpet, furniture, and last but not least - the coins themselves and your storage methods, all of these things are involved in the type of toning a coin may or may not develop.

The list of variables and possibilities of the outcome is almost endless. And because of this all of the coins you put into an album, all of them will tone, but maybe only 1 or 2 or even none at all, will have attractive toning.

You just don't ever know what the outcome will be and there is no way to predict it.

BTW, old Wayte Raymond albums, and old US Mint Set cardboard holders for that matter, will no longer tone as effectively as they did when they were new. The sulfur in them will already oxidized for the most part. So don't blow your money on eBay buying old albums.
