I am in the market for a new Bausch & Lomb Loupe #814170, 10X, Std. 1" dia. lens, 1" focal distance, which run in the $50.00 range. On one website an advertiser is selling for much less and the description is "Bausch & Lomb 81-41-70 10X Std. 1 In. Bausch & Lomb U.s.a." and the condition is New . Since the number uses the same digits, separated by dashes, I'm wondering if the item is the same. Your comments will be appreciated. Todd
I'm not sure about Bausch & Lomb, but have you checked out Edmund Scientific? They are well know for high quality optics and might be a bit cheaper. jmo have a wonderful Easter weekend!
tommyc03........thanks for your reply ! I checked out Edmund Scientific's website and they are a bit higher in price than what I had previously found for a Bausch & Lomb 10X Hastings Watchmaker's Loupe. I'm still checking around, but will probably make a purchase decision soon. I had a great Easter weekend and celebrated with a fantastic dinner at my eldest son's house, along with our other two sons, grandchildren and other family members (21) total ! BTW, what does the above jmo stand for ? Todd
I would imagine they are the same. Loupes don't have serial numbers, so it's not like it could be a coincidence.
Are Bausch & Lomb Loupe 814170 and 81-40-70 the same ? Hi Hobo ! Thanks........that one caught me off guard, since I'm so used to using IMHO (In my humble opinion). BTW, I found out from Bausch & Lomb that 814170 and 81-40-70 are for the exact same Loupe. Dashes were used in their previous part number description system. Wishing you all the best ! :thumb: ToddB67
