The September/October issue of Archaeology contains a short article on a coin found for the Emperor Laelianus (viewable online). I used to subscribe to that magazine and I rarely saw articles on coins, so a nice surprise, regardless of the article's length.
Thanks for the article link, @ewomack . Got both the emperors mentioned: LAELIANUS RI Laelianus CE 269 AE Ant 19mm 3.4g Moguntiacum mint Radiate cuirassed Victory RIC Vb 9 p373 black MARIUS RI Marius 269 Gallic Usurper BI Ant CONCORD MILIT Clasped Hands
An antoninianus of Laelianus was sold a month ago in Roma auction (good/very fine) for 4 times the estimated price at 550 GBP.
Can someone confirm or deny an impression I picked up somewhere: Is that magazine a leader in the opposition to private ownership of ancient coins?
