Fitz, I'm so glad you said Peacock. I thought it was a turkey. It's a beautiful coin. I may have to consider getting one of those. :)

That is a cool peacock and that hair has such detail. Are these recent acquisitions or is it that you have a little time right now to post pictures?

It's over, folks. Panzerman has turned to silver now. Looks like Clio is not the only one we have to fear at auction now for our sweet silver coin bids.

That's one lady I don't have since she is normally too expensive for my budget. Very nice coin for sure!!

That's simply a marvelous coin in every way!!

Although I would've guessed 'turkey' too if I didn't already know better;).....I have several 'eagles' that resemble pigeons or even seagulls more than that fierce raptor:D

I seem to be missing her:(-----I guess that was one I bid on and someone wanted more than I did.

Great coin, I still need her myself.

Nice peacock and toning on the reverse.

Note that she looks just like Max, but with female hair & Veil.

Just got back from a "mean day" of trimming cedar hedges. But, it was sunny and temp. around 16 cel/61F....perfect:)
Thanks for the nice comments/even more thanks for getting me into Roman silver coins:):):):):):):):):):)
I had bid on an FDC example from Nomos, well that coin was estimated at 1200Swiss Francs....she went for 5000! Too many rich lawyers/doctors/dentists with ultra deep pockets. Should have listened to my parents and become a lawyer!
When one scans all these cool upcoming auctions on sixbid....sure would be nice to have a billion bucks or two stashed away for those dream coins:):):):):):):)
