Apollodotos I - Square Drachm

    My son and I went to the Baltimore coin show this morning and he picked this out from one of the dealers we stopped by. He thought it was pretty cool since it was square and had an elephant on it.

    Apollodotos I. c174-165 BC.
    AR Drachm of Indian weight standard.
    Elephant standing right; monogram below
    Zebu bull standing right; monogram below

    Here is an Apollodotus I AE, my first coin of the type.
