What is the melt value for walking liberty halves? I got some for 4.50 each and want to know if I overpaid. I know the franks and kennedys are $5, are the Walking liberties the same? Just want to know. Thanks

Yes, that's very good...less than their current silver value of $4.93.

The melt is the same.

 

With silver at $13.85 , 90% silver half dollars are worth $5.01 melt.

 

Okay, thanks all. I love when I can get coins for melt or under melt. I was looking through different melt calc. and didn't see the liberty half, and I thought they were the same, but wanted too be sure. Thanks again!
