    Hey folks,
Just wondering if anyone uses 'kointains'. If so, would you have any idea how much it adds to the diameter of the coin. I ask because I want to us U.S. blank Dansco pages for my foreign coins. The U.S. pages, in most cases, are 1 mm larger then my coins. So I was hoping a kointain would expand the diameter no more then 1 mm. Any thoughts?

    These are kointains:

    thanks,

I have used them, and still have a few coins in them that I received that way. I have never measured the thickness, nor seen it advertised. It is very minimal as many collectors have a hard time even seeing it, let alone opening and closing them properly. Since they are convex , not touching the faces, the thickness might be as much a problem, if not more, than the diameter. Trial is the best approach.

That's a good point desertgem. I will go ahead and order some. I'll post my conclusion here in case anyone cares.

They also make "Koinpage" inserts for building albums. But, they are not as nice looking as the Danscos.

Ohhh nice brg5628. This might work just fine. Thanks for the tip!

edit: Actually, those have only 12 per page. :(
I will try the kointains first and see what happens.

Yeah, I don't like the "Koinpage" sheets, just thought I'd make sure you knew of them also. I hope the Kointain and Dansco combination works! That'd be awesome if it did! Good luck.
