2 of my 4 2011 Reverse Proof Eagles have an extra "look" to them...each letter, and, the edges of all outer raised surfaces show a distinct line of Cameo frosting "dots"...it almost makes the letters look like some form of calligraphy...my hunch is this may be related to the multiple times proof coins are struck, and, may be in the "Strike Doubling" catagory, but, in this case, the extra metal just happens to have the Cameo "texture"...an error? I don't know...wait to see if other RP's show this, or, if on a 2006 Reverse Proof anyone cares to examine...let me know..my "normal" Reverse proofs show as all mirrored surfaces, with no additional edge-frosting. . Thanks Calvin
Ypou'd be correct in this assumption. I really, really, really dislike these little laser dots as I'm of the opinion that they cheapen the coins.
