anyone searching small dollars?

Is anyone searching small dollars? if so, what are you looking for? I check for 1979 wide rim. and of course 2000P tail feathers, (in my wildest dreams) I guess now any 2012 or 2013. Is there anything else worth picking?

Softmentor: I look for missing edge lettering prez dollars, and the Mint Set only issues of 1981 (P,D,S). I found a 1981-S Recently in a vending machine

yep on the 81's but didn't know about the no print rims, I'll start ck'n for those.

look for proof dollars, too. They sometimes appear...I found an impaired proof 1979S nickel in a roll, so... you have a chance !!

 

look for dropped letters on prez dollars, and clashed dies. they are rare to be found in a roll, but look!

though it is very rare and you will most likely not find any, the rolling machines put any $10 Gold pieces that people deposit in Dollar coin rolls. i have heard a few stories about people finding them

 

I'm looking for Cheerios, errors, etc too. Last week I found a Roosevelt (NIFC) and today I found a -S Buchanan proof in roll from the bank. My imagination is really having fun with how the proof got loose . . .

 

i dont think your going to find many 2012 2013s but it does happen. theres also a liberty with a extra spike ect

I've searched $3300 in small dollars and have been able to fill out my president set minus the last 2 presidents as well as my Sac set minus the 2005's and 2013's. I've also found 1 04S Sac and 1-79 wide rim.

 

whoo hooo, that would be sweet to find a $10 gold, that would be a better than average find for sure.
0nly picked up 2 rolls today, gotta go check em

 

I found a Polk S the same way in a CWR, but the coin had distinct sign of wear though. In all the Pres coins, I found Monroes, and Van Burens to be rare.

 

Found a Polk S, 2006P, and 2012P last week. I should be picking up another $300-$400 tomorrow to search. Hopefully I get some more goodies.

 

i found 6 proofs in circulation in 5 days! at boy scout camp they give dollars and halves in change at the store. found a 2002-s, a 2008-s, a van bueren, a taylor, a johnson and a hayes, as well as a 2004-p and a cleaveland 2nd term. i also found 1968-d and 1962 halves

 

I grabbed $300 in small dollars today. No proofs but I did get a Cleveland 1st term-P and my 2nd 1979 wide rim.
