Anyone recognize greek fractional gold?

    It's unusual. The weight is a bit off (doesn't fit 1/4 AV Stater). If genuine it would have to be one of the weird Sicilian AV Litrae denominations. (Even then 2.5 isn't right...)

    The imagery is consistent with general Sicilian types but I don't recognize/ can't find it, and there should be an ethnic somewhere (presumably on rev. above bull).

    Maybe some antique artistic decoration or jewelry meant to resemble a coin?

    Thank you very much sir. Some kind of decoration would explain why the crest on the obverse is not connected and other puzzling details. I feel better since I was feeling pretty dumb why I couldn't find it anywhere. :)
