Anyone know what this is? Maybe a Japanese token?

I found this going though some change. Its the size of a quarter and both sides look the same.
from the writing I'm assuming Japanese. Though if so I'm assuming its not a coin?


Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct in thinking that it isn't a coin. It is most likely a Japanese arcade token- potentially from a Pachinko or slot machine, with パルコ inscribed on it, translating to "Parco" the name of a Japanese department store chain.
