I have a coin in its original mint capsule and like to put it in IS 2x2 so I can store it better. I can't find any local store selling IS 2x2 so before I order one online I would like to be sure the capsule will fit inside IS 2x2.

Also, the capsule will probably not fit in the foam that comes with IS 2x2. Can I put the capsule in saflip 2x2 (http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/product/saflips-2x2.html) and then put the whole thing in IS 2x2?

One last question, the thing that makes IS 2x2 neutralize contaminants in the air is in the foam or the in plastic?

    thanks

To put a coin into an IS holder the coin has to be removed from the holder it is presently in.

The only other option that I know of would be for you to buy some slab storage boxes that are lined with IS and then store the coin (in the holder it is presently in) in that box.

I used to use IS slab storage boxes for all my coins, those in slabs and those in Air-Tite holders or snap-holder 2x2's, and never once had a problem.

Hi GD,I put all my coins in IS box right now. Unfortunately, they move around in the box that's why I was thinking about putting the capsules in IS 2x2 so that they will line up perfectly with the box. However, I calculated the 2x2 is about 6-7mm thick so the inside depth is probably about 4-5mm, probably not big enough to hold a capsule. Thanks for your reply.

I don't think you understand the type of box I am talking about. The slab boxes I am talking about will hold 20 slabbed coins with individual spaces for each slab.

I'm not talking about the small IS boxes that only hold 1 coin each.
