I was awarded a scholarship to attend the ANA Summer Seminar (Session II) from July 8-14, and was wondering if anyone else here had signed up for it/ awarded a scholarship. I signed up for "Collecting US Type Coins" by the way. If so, I would really like to meet you there and chat. This is my first visit there and I probably won't be able to make it back for quite some time. If anyone has been there in the past, what advice could you give me. I already know about the book sales for incredible and unbelievable prices.
Dude, that is really cool. I wish I could make it but alas if that's the one in August I'll be out of state going the other direction to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, plus the farm is keeping me busy. We've got a new neighbor who doesn't fully understand the delicate balance between good fences and good neighbors :-( The romance of country living has clouded their sense of responsibility I'm afraid. Bone
COngrats on the award! I will be visiting the museum this summer, but I won't be out there for the seminars. Have fun and learn a bunch!
I was signed up but then had a scheduling conflict and had to beg out. Congrats on the scholorship, though.
Just kidding, they (the ANA) just switched me to my first class choice-"Detection of Couterfeit and Altered Coins". This will be more advanced of a class than my other choice. I'm quite fortunate in all of this because the class was originally full and someone just dropped out today.
