Can't find any information on this French silver jeton. I think it may have been minted early to mid 1600's. I'm curious to see if its listed in Mitchner. Thanks.
I can read on reverse: Extraordinaire De La Guerre. That is Extraordinary of war. I might have thought of a medal or token during the war. I don't know which one.
@Redseal It was listed in the Addendum, p. 1562, plate 4439 Crowned paired shields of France and Navarre with crowned letter "L" below: all in double collar of the Order of St. Michael: EXTRAORDINAIRE DE LA GUERRE Rev. Hand emerging from cloud, brandishing thunderbolt above a tree, whose branches are breaking off: AUT . CEDERE . AUT . CAEDI Silver: 5.50gm: 27mm Issued during the reign of Louis XIV with the earliest ones dating 1647. Chris
