I'm sure I am not the only one on here that has some sort of container with coins inside that you put aside to revisit later. I have one that I throw certain circulation finds into for possible research later on if anything I came across is worth keeping. Sometimes I don't look into these finds until months later. I have been able to learn about several coin errors this way, and then have an example of my own to add to the collection. Anyone else have something like this? Also just sharing as it is related, I had this awesome 1960 D RPM in this container and I didn't even know! I did not take the time to look very closely when I came across it, but I'm happy I didn't throw it back! I am aware there are dozens of '60 D RPM's, and this one isn't one of the better RPM's, but I don't have this one, so it's a keeper for me! Not sure specifically which one it is, but I'll figure it out.
That's funny! I have a 1960D RPM also I got from CONECA as a gift for joining. They're tough to find which one it is. Yours looks like the 1960D Northeast RPM-21 Possibly.
Yes, I most certainly do….. My daughter was one of this “in home nurses” years ago. She tended one elderly gentleman for several years and somehow the subject of her daddy being a coin collector came up between the two of them. He gave her a ziplock container of cents and told her to give them to me. She did and I have never opened the bag. Even with magnification I find it difficult to study small coins. So that bag still rests in the bottom of my safe. I have no idea what is in it but at a glance it appeared to be common Lincoln’s. I don’t know. One day I’ll get into it I suppose.
