Was trying to dig up all the info I can on this note. It seems to be in pritty good condition Also was wondering if I was going to frame it, do I need to use a special frame to preserve it? or would any frame work, I think this is a cool looking piece even if it is not worth very much.
the pic I took there it looks very glossy, it is in a plastic envlope, It looks much older and very different when its out of the case. Any easy ways to tell if it is a reprint?
The cheap reproductions on parchment paper are made to look old. The crinkly edges on your are a good clue, plus the poor quality engraving on yours. Check out the enlargement on this page versus the look of yours - no comparison. Also, look at where it says pres! On the one Mack gave a link to has pres. And than a small t, yours only has pres
If I'm not mistaken, the name of the engraver should be along the bottom edge of the note, Gavit & Company Albany, and yours it's omitted.
