Is anyone from this group going to the Nat Money Show in Dallas? I am considering a trip north for a day or so. I noticed a couple of interesting items: The show will have four dekadrachms of Syracuse in an Olympic coin display / talk. There will be a talk on the Roman money system that looks like someone trying to sell a book or push a political leaning. “The Rise and Fall of Rome’s Money and what it Means for America Today” by Patrick A. Heller. The rise and decline of Rome’s monetary system closely parallels the political rise and fall of the city. Further, there are significant parallels with the rise and fall of the American monetary system.
