If "cool" means "good", then no way, no how. We have too @@^%#^ many dollar coins now. If John/Jane Q. Public can't tell the difference between golden colored coins and gold coins, how will they differentiate white gold from cu-ni? If I stated how I really feel about this question I would probably get nuked by the mods.
Well Stainless, You've posted some pretty good questions here. This is not one of them I'm afraid. TOO many dollar coins period and if it was gold just another bullion coin that people pay too much for IMHO. If it were meant for circulation, with the fluctuating price of gold, it would be about the size of a pinhead.

I would like to see a bi-metallic with yellow gold around a white gold center with a really cool design. Not some of the modern stuff were used to seeing. I would like to see the old flying eagle or gobrecht eagle on the new dollar. Tom
i know theres a lot of gold... but ive never seen a white gold... it would be very different..and maybe the gov't can mark it somehow so we know its real(they could put "24kt" print or however many karat's they decide to make it like the do on jewlry)
White gold can't be 24 karat. It is made white by mixing silver with the gold. Highest I've ever seen is 18 karat.
I'd prefer all coins made of Radium. Note the price of Radium does not fluctuate as much as Gold and Silver. Then the advantage of being able to see all your coins at night would be helpfull.
