Anyone else get the Black & White Somalia Elephant (500 mintage)

I picked up this set last night on JMB:



Now normally I hate colorized coins but I think these coins look pretty good because they still look “classy” and the colors they use are colors of the elephants themselves.

Plus it has a mintage of only 500 so I’m hoping it has a potential to increase in value over the decades.

Did anyone else pick up one of these?

When I checked this morning they were all sold out on JMB.

Yes, they have done a bunch of them.

 

I've been to Somalia. I can definitively say there are no moose in Somalia

 

Didn't even know about them, but they are pretty nice. I would have gotten them if I had the chance and payday wasn't tomorrow...lol.

Ah yeah I had to think about it for a little bit because I really hate colorized coins and I don’t collect Somali Elephants but I think these are probably the only colorized coins I ever buy.

 

I love the one they did with the t-rex skull in rodium... i just can't figure out which side is the queen and which the evil death lizard

Oooh I managed to get the 2022 Somali Elephant Proof!

I’m surprised it also had a mintage of only 500. I would expect it to be like 5,000.

Idk why but I feel the Somali elephants are going to be really popular one day.

They may not be popular now but they look beautiful in proof/high relief.

A complete proof Somali elephant collection would look incredible!
