My first attempt to request for a bulk of pennies was successful. It was 50 mixed rolls from teller with no problem. However, my second attempt from last week to request for 2012 Penny 50 rolls box. The teller said that they don't carry them, but she asked the supervisor and told me that they don't carry them or will receive any of them. I was kind of stuck there as I am not sure what I should do without making any scene. So I left disappointed. I know bank usually should able to order one even if they don't have one in stock. Was I wrong? Should I talk with bank representative instead of talking with teller? What's your tip to make it success to get new unopened box of 2012 pennies? Thanks.
I've never heard of successfully requesting a solid date box. I always thought they only got those in if their cash vault couldnt fulfill their branch orders with existing circulated coins.
I've heard that they don't order those specifically, and that the tellers don't know what the rolls they are giving you contain. I too, would love to get some fresh 2012 rolls!
I went to my Chase bank yesterday. I was able to slowly explain the representative that I am really interesting to obtain 2012 Pennies 50 rolls box. They seems finally understand what I am trying to get a box through them and they can make an order. We discuss with teller and they have my email to contact me if they success obtain it. Now, it's all about waiting game.
