I thought this was kinda cool for less than $5. I don't know a great deal about paper money from other countries, and didn't even know Canada had fractional currency. Canada even have four dollar bills. I thought about putting together a set, but the 1 and 2 dollar notes bring $20 each, even in low grades.
Ummm also, there are often "French Canadian" & "English Canadian" notes, making it twice as cool/hard to finish your collection!! (but they're are very sweet lookin' notes!!)
Man => now you've got me all fired-up about Canadian Paper!! (thanks, I like the retro walk down memory-lane) $100 1954 Devil's Face (sweet note) => whoa!! => a couple of classics in that bunch, eh?!! detecto => I wish you luck in collecting Canadian paper, my friend (I have lots of catalogues if you need a price-check every now and then) Cheers, brother!
Very cool ol' note, my friend (I recall spending those babies) ... Hey, how 'bout this $100 1935 => only 87,500 printed ... 1935 $50 "Frenchie"=> only 32,500 printed!! (are you fricken kidding me??!) ... yup, this is my favourite "sweetie"
i collect any $1 or $2CAD notes that get deposited at banks near me. so far i have a 1954 $1, and two newer $1s.
Actually, I see that two Can$1000 notes are pictured. Both are beautiful. I have some older Canadian currency from the 1950s to the early 1980s that was found in circulation when traveling in Ontario and Quebec. Mostly $1, $2, $5, $10 and $20 banknotes. The $1 and $2 notes were from the times before the introduction of Loonies and Twonies ended the circulation of lower denomination banknotes.
