I know this might be a long shot, but has anyone ever been to the annual coin show in Lakeland, Florida. If so, what was your opinion of it? It is being held this weekend and I was thinking of going. Thanks.
i went there a while back, i thought it was okay, i will admit though, it's not the best i have been to, but it's close.
Yes, I've been, and it is a pretty good show. There are usually 150 dealers' tables or so. Be sure to print the page from the Collectorama website to get free admission. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=72309 Also, if you have the time, be sure to go to Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille, 101 N. Kentucky Ave. (863)686-2228. It's only a few blocks from the show and the food is excellent. If you should happen to see Shane, aka Kryptonitecomics, scooping up all the Morgan toners, tell him I said, "Hey!" Chris
Thanks for the information, guys. Unfortunately, I ended up being unable to attend the show. Oh well; maybe the next time. I'll keep this for next year, though. There's a show in Sarasota at the end of October if you are interested. It's my home town, so I'm hoping to make it there. I was there for the April show and it was pretty decent.
