Anybody heard or seen this 2017 Ellis Island error? R/S in trust?

  1. It appears obvious to me, but I thought I might seek the wisdom of my learned peers! Is that an S tucked in with the R in trust?

    Looks like it took a hit. You can see similar marks in other areas. Damaged.

    Could also be what is called a Die Chip.
    That would be a tiny break on the Die.
    Common occurrence on many coins and all denominations.

    There are several hits in the same area. Looks like teeth marks!

    What you're seeing is displaced metal next to the semicircular gouge. What ever hit the coin, pushed up metal around it. You can see it to a lesser extent on the other marks (they don't penetrate as deeply). Sorry, but just PMD
