I am looking for anyone that is into the varieties of Flying Eagle Cents. A dealer friend bought a very nice doubled die today. Unlisted in the guides. The doubling is strong on the MERICA, the tail feathers, and the date. Doubling is clockwise. Dated 1857.

We could not find this variety in the "snow" listings. Also looked through cherry pickers, Flying Eagle variety guide. This is far different than anything I have seen.
I'd take a few photos and send them to Rick Snow. He's a really nice and helpful guy. I'm sure he'd be happy to either help ID the variety or have the opportunity to see another new variety.
This particular coin is going to Baltimore in a few weeks. We are hoping a few experts in the field will have an answer. I was hoping someone else had stumbled across something close.
