    there is no added value as this is not an error. it is due to die deterioration and adds no value.

    This is an example of 'hob' or punch shoulder outline. I didn't see a date nor do I know if this country was using a punch for the lettering, but they must still have been doing this. The US stopped in the IHC series. Notice that there is an outline around the lettering in almost each direction. The lettering 'die' was a ganged punch and when struck by hand into the full die, if struck perfectly only sunk to the bottom of the letting and no outline,. If the sinker struck it too hard, part of the shoulder of the device pushed into the die also producing a halo effect the shape of the lettering. If at an angle it was sometimes mistaken for DD or MD. Here is a reference. Little or no extra value, sorry.
