Any thoughts on this 1972 cent?

This looked pretty cool. Posting this for any thoughts that anyone might have. The date is split on all numerals.

I was thinking MD also. I was wondering more so on the splitting on the numerals. Oh well, that's cool. I'll still hang on to it. Thanks though for the replies.

 

Curious - Where are you seeing splitting on the numbers?

 

Those dark lines on the numbers are cracks, by what I'm seeing. I may have not used the correct term.

 

On the right side of the 9, 7, and 2? That isn't a crack. That's the edge of where the MD starts. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/FAQ/machinedoubling.html

 

I see it now. Thanks for the link. I should be getting my book in today. I'll be studying it so I can spot these before posting. Like I said, I'm more of a book person, rather than the internet.
