Any thoughts if this coin is worth cost of grading?

The Mint had problems with the edge lettering that first year, and the Washington dollar had instances of 1) missing edge lettering (completely) and 2) missing partial edge lettering.

I found one missing partial edge lettering in my Mint order in 2007. I submitted it to NGC where it graded MS64 - Missing Partial Edge Lettering. A few years later I sold it on eBay for $228 in a no minimum, no reserve auction.

I don't know if one of the major grading services would even attribute this anomaly, and since it has been in circulation for 12 years, it may not be worth it.

If I were you, I'd save my money and just keep it as a conversation piece.

Welcome to CT. Not worth grading but definitely a keeper.

Thanks for the information, I had actually put it in a protective casing back in 2007 when I went through a $10 roll I asked my bank to give me. Put it away and have been going through my collection of oddities I have come across over the years.
