What could it be?Also, please click on them just because there really good images.Especially the last pic. Thanks B12
Hey B12, Try this link. http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php?date=1940&date1=1940&page=2 It has been a great help to me in the past. Based on your picks it looks like a nice rpm. Good buy or good find? Happy hunting, Michael
It definitely appears to be a 1940-S/S (RPM Error) and possibly a 1940-S/S/S but I can't tell from pictures. I couldn't determine the orientation of the Mint Marks either. There are 9 different RPM's for 1940-S Cent in Coneca. Go to "www.conecaonline.org" and click on Variety Master Listings then click on the RPM's for the appropriate year. Compare yours to the one's listed to see if it matches up and you will know the Coneca # for it. If yours does not match any on the list, then it may be unlisted and can be submitted to Coneca for verification, attribution and entry into their' files. I have a both a 1940-S/S and a 1940-S/S/S Lincoln Cent. I don't remember what the Coneca # is for my S/S but my S/S/S is not listed. I really need to get this stuff cataloged and sent in for verification but it always seems that something else comes uo and I get sidetracked. Frank
