Any thought on why 2019s ASE enhanced is grading lower than 2019 w ASE enhanced

The 2019 s ASE enhanced reverse proof is grading PF70 less than 60%. I know it's a small sample so far. The 2019 w ASE enhanced reverse proof is grading PF70 over 93%. I'm guessing some kind of production issue? They are basically the same coin minted in different places in different numbers.

There may be a quality difference, but the W sets had more bulk submissions with a minimum grade of 70. The S is much more expensive and harder for dealers to put together a bulk submission

Welcome to Coin Talk. This will be the lowest mintage of the entire SAE Series (All types of finishes) but IMO I believe the 1995 W Proof will still be the King. We will have to wait to see how many of the 2019 will grade PF 70. I believe the final total will be much higher than the 1995 W. Again, it's just my opinion.

There will without question be more 70s for this than the 95. The 95 w 70 will remain king

The biggest reason for it will be that they were struck at different mints on different machines.

West Point is the bullion coin mint. That's what they do for a living and I have to assume they take extra care as a standard due to the values of what they strike. They also knew it was going to be side by side with the Canada mints example which I think they used even more care than usual.

San Francisco does proof coins mostly and I'm sure there's a pressure difference between the two mints machines, but yeah they didn't have a coin to beat in this offering really either.

I think it comes down to mostly it being two different mints though and different ways of running them, in house.
