This might be a long shot. But are there market statistics that give some insight into which countries, by percentage, make up the majority of sales in the collector/investor coin market? Or would this not be very measurable? I mention this because I read a 1984 newspaper article about Olympic coins that stated that the USA comprises 20% ~ 30% of the worldwide market in coins, and therefore Olympic host countries would be wise to advertise their Olympic coins in the USA. Perhaps this percentage was only about sales of Olympic commemorative coins or Olympic coins alone? The article wasn't clear about it.
