    Hey-
Has anyone found any of the new $5 bills as a star note yet? I have had several dozen purples go through my til, but no stars. I am tempted to run a pool for when one is found, but it isn't my style. Mike

i have not seen any of the new $5's stars yet. I have only seen a few of the 5's in circualtion period, and even then, they have been a bit tattered for the short life they allready lived lol

Tattered? Already? I must have a cash machine spitting 'em out around here somewhere. The ones I have seen have mostly been super crisp, and it is all I can do not to put some away. But I try not to hoard all of the common, low-denomination notes that you folks might want to spend...

I have seen only 2 of the new 5's, neither of them stars, both had folds in them. Waiting for a crisp one.

With over 3.2 million stars printed, there have to be full straps out there somewhere.

    Gatzdon,

Where do you get that information from? I am not very knowledgeable about bills. Thanks in advance.

    Scanning new $5 note

I have been able to scan the new $5 note using Adobe Photoshop 7 and a Cannon LiDE-20 scanner. I just need to remember to take the note out of the holder and the image won't be so dark.
