Ive been posting a lot about grading because Im about to send in my next batch, please deal with me Any of these worth it? 1:1896-O Morgan 2: Tarnished 2005 1 Troy Oz. ASE 3: (My Avatar) 1 Troy Oz. 2004 ASE 4: 1923 Peace Dollar
It's only worth grading if the slabbed value is worth significantly more than the cost of the coin PLUS cost of grading. So let's say you have a coin you bought for $20. And let say it cost you $30 to grade and slab it. The coin now MUST be worth AT LEAST $50 to even break even.
absolutely not on silver dollars. graded eagles have never made sense to me, but that's my personal bias. If you think you can pull a 70, you'll scratch out a small profit.
They actually have two different kinds of holders. The "Lighthouse" brand holders stack with NGC holders, while the "Coin World Premier" holders stack with PCGS holders. They come in packs of 3.
There are also several styles of holders sold on eBay direct from China - the one shown above includes the prong-style insert. I've seen ones with nested foam rings so a box of holders can be used for different coins. Lighthouse also has a newer line which can be opened and closed (vs. the everslab that realistically can't be reopened w/o damaging the case). Quickslab I think is what it's called.
No. If you like slab like holders and prefer consistency in holder, Coin World makes snap together holders than run about $1 each that look like slabs.
