I got these in the Czech Rep: 1914 Dollars..329...grade and originating mint and any other interesting features would be most welcome. One cost 3 times the other so I'd be interested to see opinions on both coins. Many thanks, marbury.
Have you checked the edge of the coin? There are several different edge variations. Also, you should weigh it to verify that the weight is correct and that the size is correct. 26.400 grams 0.8900 Silver 0.7554 oz 39mm Various types indicated by Krause for the R.O.C. 1 Dollar 1914 Year 3 of the Republic KM #329 - Vertical Reading KM #329.1 - Edge engrailed with circles KM #329.2 - Ornamented with alternating T's KM #329.3 - Plain KM #329.4 - Edge type not indicated, but there is a tiny circle in the bow which indicates a mint mark. (Mint unknown)
info The first one has been identified as the 1914 YSK Crossed Leaves variety. If you look towards bottom right you will see the tips of the leaves intersect with each other from above and below. I guess this is a die variation from the central mint.
I'm not an expert but I know what I like I like the top coin photograph much more than the bottom photograph. The top coin looks nice UNC with luster. The bottom coin looks more dull with wear/weak details especially on the wreath. I do not know their value or if they are genuine but I like the top one.
invoices rolling in, just got another 1914 YSK Just got this......will probably get technical info on mint and any die variety issues from Chinese Coin Forum.....but thought I'd share the photos.
