Any Idea's on this 43 D Lincoln Cent?

    Both Treasurehunt and Arizona Jack are correct!:) There is die deterioation on the 3 and MM. The question is what is going on with the Letter's and Date? Is it MD? Is it Ejection Doubling? Is it a D/D obverse? Is it Corrosion? Could it be a new variety? Interesting question for this forum board.

    Looks like some kind of funky corrosion to me and not a mint error.

    Anytime I see irregular doubling all around the features, die deterioration is my first guess. Longacre doubling just applies to IHCs. ;)
