Can anyone help me with this item? What do you think is its value? It looks Roman. It's about 2 1/4" in diameter and weighs about 6 ounces. The characters next to the man with the shield and weapon look like "7APIS". As you can tell, I'm no expert photographer. Pictures are not in focus properly.
Since that person on one side looks like a gladiator, I could venture to guess that it is an ancient Roman coin?
Its not ancient, the style just doesn't match. Probably a toursit piece. The shield looks Theban to me, though - for what its worth.
