Noticed something different happening on this memorial. I see the die crack just not sure what the other two things would be. 20170405_002530.jpg 20170405_002530.jpg 20170405_002614.jpg

What year is your Cent? Yes this is an important question.

The other 2 things could be Die Chips.

    Peace :angelic:

Well it definitely appears to be a coin. A memorial lincoln if Im not mistaken, and Im almost positive a bust of Lincoln is on the other side as well:rolleyes:

Also Im gonna guess pre 1982... could be wrong though

Its a 1984. And it doesn't look like any sort of bubbling those spots are solid. What do you mean a bust of lincoln evan8?

He was being sarcastic. If what you are seeing is a "solid blob" it could be a die chip.

I thought he was. But yeah definitely solid and there is a spot on the front under the date as well. The ones on the memorial are thicker though. Any other signs to look for that it would be a die chip?

In the memorial, it looks like a 'hit' to me,
on the column, that pushes the metal to
    the left a bit.

It could be a copper-plating bubble, but I'm
    leaning towards a 'hit'.

What is a 'hit' I'm not finding anything about that.

By 'hit', I mean that something literally
hit the coin - could be anything - another
coin, a screwdriver, a pin, etc.

Yeah I'm not sure about that though. You would think it would have some other marking of some sort.

Its PMD as Fred said, or a plating bubble, which is what he also said, A pristine red cent for the year, would have been easier, to identify, a Cent in the shape you posted, probably wont even be collected in 20 years, it has sen a lot of circulation,
By the way you should probably Google Fred's Name.

Yeah i was looking at it more and i dont know i suppose it is what it is. I just think the pictures dont do the coins any justice lol. Which is probably with most. But I'll take it as what it is. And i did look it up nice to know there are some pros here

It might be on fire. Looks to me as if there is smoke all around.

Could be my eyes; awful late in the day and just left coin club where we looked at a darn lot of coins.....
