Any Help On This 2000 D Sacagawea?

    I got some Sacagawea's today in change from a US Postal stamp machine. Three of them look like filled die errors, she does not have the pupil in her left eye. Also in front of the babys face it look like there is some die missing. I will try and get a picture of it but my camera does not get good closeups. ^There is probably the best picture I'm going to get. Notice her left eye also her mouth. Thanks for any ideas.

    Hi,
    This can be the result of grease filling the recesses of the die (filled die error) which is very common. It can be the result of a slightly weak strike. This one though looks like it may have ben the result of die dressing which means that the areas may have been overpolished and some detail was removed from the die.
    That about covers it :)

    It's a case of intentional die abrasion ("die polishing"). I've seen a number of Sac dollars like this.

    Mike, thanks for your input. Greatly appreciated. I'm still learning, LOL. I think I'll still hold onto these though, I find them pretty cool. Thanks again.

    Fun find....instead of a "One Eyed Jack" you've got a "One Eyed Sac".....well sorta ;)
