I know this board has an Auctions forum, but one needs 10 postings to use it, and I don't have that yet. However, in the name of trying to get 10 postings, I thought I'd at least ask everyone here what other useful spots around the net exists for posting/advertising Ebay coin auctions?
I've put together a Squidoo page on advertising resources at: http://www.squidoo.com/advertising_marketing Hope this helps you. Regards, SteveL
I put all my ebay auctions on ebay and they seem to do well there. I just unloaded 40 rolls of Formative year pennies before the market could tank.
Yeah, I did the same as well. I had Formative Years I got from the DC exchange. They sell themselves, AND even now with the market for them being down, you can still get $5 to $10 for a roll. That's still a profit. The real problem is... how do you sell things that have been valued elsewhere for hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars. I just haven't seen Ebay as a good place for getting those sold. Most Ebay buyers top out over $300 or so, it seems. You could go to the professional sites like Heritage, but there's a lot that you have to do before getting your foot in the door there... and of course, they control everything. While the fees are still too high on Ebay, I feel more in control there.
