Hey guys, Just curious if there are any good online sites (par from eBay of course which is one that's too obvious) for coins. I've searched eBay for many different types of coins I'm interested in getting, and although there's lots of good deals I'd still like to see if there are any other good sites out there with great prices and service. I'm specifically looking to purchase wheat cents in bulk (maybe 5,000ish or more.) I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any other good places with good prices, besides eBay? Thank you, Andrew
I've had good luck with American Precious Metals Exchange (APMEX). I have also bought from Jakes Marketplace. I would buy from both again.
Well, for me personally, I don't call e-bay a "good" online site to buy from. There's too many people on there either trying to cheat people or who just don't know what they're talking about, and no real protection for you. I have only bought from two coin sites over the internet, but have had great experiences with both. They are both auction sites: Teletrade and Heritage. I feel that both offer good levels of protection against buying counterfeit coins as well as they provide secure transactions as far as payment goes. I'm sure that many others will chime in with other private dealers that they've had good experiences with. Good luck!
Teletrade brutha! EXCELLENT service and possible to get some steals. I was unable to pay for 2 coins I won due to an unexpected hospital admission. They were very understanding, sent personal e-mails and even 1 to see how I was feeling. They ended up waiting for me for almost 30 days!
I'd recommend www.midatlanticcoins.com They are reputable and will give you an honest price for bags of wheats. Pluse Steve (the owner) is one of the good guys in this business. Just send him an email letting him know what you are looking for and he will be able to help you out.
I find that it is the buyer beware on all online coin sites. I have sent back coins from my favorite sites for they were not what they were represented to be. The best advice I can give is find a site that you know you can return the coin without issue and know the coin before you buy it.
