There is an older thread on this forum where a member wrote out a nicely detailed explanation on how to grade luster, but the pictures in that thread have all expired. Is there a website, or possibly another thread on here that shows example pictures (preferably .GIF images or even videos)? I have to assume you look for more than just a cartwheel, because practically every coin seems to show that to some effect?

Quite a few of them in that thread as a matter of fact. But what folks have to realize is that luster is different on every type of coin there is. So no single thread is going to give you what you are asking for. But by all means, ask specific questions, in that thread if you wish or start another one. You'll get answers. But I suspect most of your answers have already been written about in that thread.
