I found this a few months back and cannot get an I.D on it. First I thought it was some sort of play money. I have found play money before but they are not made out of this material (brass/copper). Then I thought maybe some sort of card game piece?? 5 of diamonds?? It is a 5 in the center of a diamond shape. I don't know. The reverse is the exact same. Any clues? Thanks, Jim

It may be play money, but very likely it is a jeton or counter. This site gives a good explaination of what jetons are, although it describes one with a different pattern.

There are several small tokens like this. There's one that's the same on both sides and another that's uniface. There are also issues with a 25 rather than 5.

I believe they are Minnesota amusement tokens from the 1930's but am not certain. They were probably good for five free plays or 25 free packs of gum or the like.
