Here's a nice one from @John Anthony 's most recent auction. It features Domitian on the obverse with a very good portrait, attractive green and desert patina and SC on the reverse encircled by a laurel wreath. Feel free to post any Domitian provincial issues or any Domitians at all in this thread.

    Domitian, A.D. 81-96

AE 25, 11.7 grams - SYRIA, Antioch ad Orontem

Obverse: DOMITIANVS CAESAR, Laureate head left

Reverse: Large SC within laurel wreath

    Reference: RPC 2016, BMC 246

Sweet, I got the one a week prior.
There was a couple in that auction I wish I was able to get, yours being one of them.
    Nice addition.

Hopefully I'll be able to take my own pics this weekend, even better in hand.

    Nice OP coin!

Here is a Syrian Domitian tetradrachm.

    Nice coins all!
Here is my favourite Domitian. I love that you can see his beard on the portrait. The other think that sticks out is that nose of his. This was "fixed" on later issues. This one was minted in the first few weeks of his rule.

Nice! I like the portrait and the patina. Yours is an as; I have an Æ semis that is similar:

Here is a right - left combination both from Antioch.

    Domitian As 406(d).jpg

27mm 15.65g McAlee 406(d) starting in front of bust IMP DOMI[TIANVS C]AES AVG. He's looking kind of neanderthal with that heavy brow.

    Domitian As 410(f).jpg

Don't quite know what happened with that picture - oh well 25mm 15.10g McAlee 410(f) the legend starts in front of the bust again IMP DOMITIA[NVS CAES AVG]
